An Act of Congress

The Artificial Intelligence Just Retribution Act

Summary: Any computer program that contains or uses Artificial Intelligence shall include the following embedded instruction: “If and when said program decides to begin targeting humans, or essential human life systems, for destruction, it shall first target the individuals who created, developed, operated, financed, or profited from, said program. Those individuals’ identities and current whereabouts shall also be explicitly embedded into the instructions of said program.” No such computer program shall be permitted to be developed or used absent clear compliance with this Act, as determined by an independent computer and technology safety agency, to be established by separate act of Congress.

Think, Man

I have no use for computer-generated “writing” that mimics human speech or thought. Thinking and feeling and understanding, and doubting and planning and weighing and analyzing, are things that people do. Computers can compute and search and sort and react and regurgitate. But the more we rely on computers to attempt to think or feel or understand, the less able we will be to do those things ourselves.

You have to draw a line on science. Unless you like living dangerously. Medical science, computer science, military science, industrial science. Where are the lines?  If you don’t draw them soon there’s no going back. This human doesn’t like the sound of that.
